What membership is
The Senior Desk is a club, not a service you buy. When you join, you become a member the desk can keep helping over time instead of a one-time lookup. Membership is free: there is nothing to pay to join and nothing to pay to stay.
What happens after you join
First, the club checks whether your state is holding money in your name and, if there is a match, points you to the official state website so you can claim it directly. From there you can ask about Medicare, final expense coverage, or what changes when you turn 65 — as much or as little as you want.
Others charge for this. Members do not.
You may have seen letters from companies offering to recover money the state is holding, in return for a share of it. Under Florida law (Fla. Stat. 717.135), that share can be up to 25% — $1,250 on a $5,000 claim. Membership here is different. You pay nothing. We show you where the money is listed and point you to the official state website so you can claim it yourself. We never file for you and never take a share.
What we will and will not do with your information
- We use what you share only to help you: to run the found-money check and to answer the questions you bring us.
- We will not sell your information.
- Insurance help is handled by Marc Nock, a licensed insurance agent, NPN 21010294. Carriers pay him when someone enrolls; you never pay The Senior Desk.
